Bureau Of Local Health Systems Development



The Bureau Of Local Health Systems Development follows the following core functions:

  • Development of frameworks, policies, guidelines and standards on local health systems;
  • Coordinate/Collaborate activities/initiatives and projects related to local health systems development;
  • Oversee and support models for local health systems development and their application;
  • Monitor and evaluate benchmark indicators on local health systems at sub-national levels.

Responsive, collaborative, sustainable, and resilient local health systems for all Filipinos, especially the poor.


We are the lead Bureau in the DOH in developing functional local health systems, especially for the marginalized & disadvantaged communities. We will work with key partners & stakeholders to create environments and opportunities in offering solutions to improve and strengthen local health system policies & plans.
