Ngayong 4 PM, Marso 4, 2022, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 853 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 1,062 na gumaling at 232 na pumanaw.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 1.4% (50,230) ang aktibong kaso, 97.1% (3,558,747) na ang gumaling, at 1.55% (56,770) ang namatay.

Ayon sa pinakahuling ulat, lahat ng mga laboratoryo ay operational noong March 2, 2022 habang mayroong 2 laboratoryo na hindi nakapagsumite ng datos sa COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Base sa datos sa nakaraang 14 na araw, ang kontribusyon ng 2 labs na ito ay humigit kumulang 0.3% sa lahat ng samples na naitest at 0.3% sa lahat ng positibong mga indibidwal.

Pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na huwag maging kampante sa banta ng COVID-19. Bagkus, dapat natin ipagpatuloy ang tamang pagsunod sa minimum public health standards at lagging magsuot ng facemask, mag physical distancing, at maghugas ng kamay. Sa oras na makaramdam ng sintomas, AGAD NA MAG-ISOLATE at magpatest. Tandaan ang right test at the right time. Agad rin na magpabakuna upang makakuha ng dagdag na proteksyon laban sa COVID-19.

Of the 853 reported cases today, 784 (92%) occurred within the recent 14 days (February 19 – March 4, 2022). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (170 or 22%), Region 4-A (128 or 16%) and Region 7 (94 or 12%).

Of the 232 deaths, 5 occurred in March 2022 (2%), 17 in February 2022 (7%), 16 in January 2022 (7%), 7 in November 2021 (3%), 18 in October 2021 (8%), 36 in September 2021 (16%), 22 in August 2021 (9%), 9 in July 2021 (4%), 7 in June 2021 (3%), 14 in May 2021 (6%), 20 in April 2021 (9%), 31 in March 2021 (13%), 4 in February 2021 (2%), 1 in January 2021 (0%), 1 in December 2020 (0%), 7 in November 2020 (3%), 4 in October 2020 (2%), 5 in September 2020 (2%), 6 in August 2020 (3%), and 2 in July 2020 (1%) due to late encoding of death information to COVIDKaya. This issue is currently being coordinated with the Epidemiology and Surveillance Units to ensure information is up to date.

11 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 5 are recoveries.

Moreover, 219 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

All labs were operational on March 2, 2022. However 2 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data in the last 14 days, the 2 labs contribute, on average, 0.3% of samples tested and 0.3% of positive individuals.
