Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III together with National Task Force Against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez, Jr. inaugurated a new quarantine site in The Filinvest Tent, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

The new quarantine center was established by the Filinvest City Foundation in partnership with EEI Corporation and the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, and in close coordination with the Department of Health, Department of Transportation, Department of National Defense and Bases Conversion and Development Authority.

“We thank the Filinvest group of companies that has provided this temporary quarantine facility. This will help the national government ramp up our health system as we endeavor to manage the number of cases and eventually flatten the curve,” said Secretary Duque.

The 108-bed isolation site, which will start operating nextweek, will be managed by the Bureau of Fire and Protection. It will cater to suspect and probable COVID-19 patients.

This collaboration was realized through the efforts of private-sector partners NexGen Asia Group of Companies, PLDT, Smart Telecom, Vista Land and Meralco.
