The Department of Health (DOH) and Lazada Philippines forged a partnership to promote COVID-19 vaccine education among Filipinos and increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake in the country through the launching of the Lazada Bakuna Perks. Advocating the DOH’s RESBAKUNA: Kasangga ng BIDA campaign, this program aims to encourage Filipino consumers to protect themselves and be fully vaccinated, and get a chance to receive free shipping and up to 15% off vouchers on your Lazada purchases.

“Over the past few months, we have been constantly advocating for Filipinos to get vaccinated in order to benefit from the added protection the vaccines give against severe COVID-19. This partnership with Lazada makes correct information and healthy behaviours more accessible to every Filipino – which is what the Health Promotion Bureau wants to achieve. Through the cooperation of the whole society, we ensure that everyone can join the BIDA Bakunation!” said Dr. Beverly Ho, Director of the DOH-HPB.

To join, Lazada shoppers who have received both first and second doses of any COVID-19 vaccine may visit https://lzd.co/BakunaPerks from September 12 to November 6, 2021 to sign up, fill out the application form, and upload photos of their valid ID and vaccination card. Shoppers who do so will get a chance to participate in the Lazada Bakuna Perks package raffle draw, from which 100 lucky winners will be selected to receive an in-app notification and an email for the collection of Lazada vouchers through the app.

“Together with the DOH, Lazada Philippines hopes that this program will encourage more residents to be fully informed of the benefits of vaccination, and protect themselves with accurate information. The collective effort of all segments of the community, private, and public sectors coming together, will be a huge step towards the recovery of the country and of the Filipino people,” stated Ray Alimurung, Chief Executive Officer of Lazada Philippines.

The RESBAKUNA campaign aims to reach more Filipinos and encourage them to get fully-vaccinated against COVID-19. The DOH also assures that vaccines are safe and effective in protecting against the severe COVID-19 which causes hospitalization and deaths. As of September 5, over 15 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated, while nearly 20.8 million Filipinos have already received their first doses.
