Ngayong 4 PM, Pebrero 20, 2022, ang Department of Health ay nakapagtala ng 1,712 na karagdagang kaso ng COVID-19. Samantala ay mayroon namang naitalang 3,686 na gumaling at 77 na pumanaw.
Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naitalang kaso sa bansa, 1.7% (60,532) ang aktibong kaso, 96.8% (3,535,987) na ang gumaling, at 1.52% (55,684) ang namatay.
Ayon sa pinakahuling ulat, lahat ng mga laboratoryo ay operational noong February 18, 2022 habang mayroong 3 laboratoryo na hindi nakapagsumite ng datos sa COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Base sa datos sa nakaraang 14 na araw, ang kontribusyon ng 3 labs na ito ay humigit kumulang 0.7% sa lahat ng samples na naitest at 0.5% sa lahat ng positibong mga indibidwal.

Bagkus, dapat natin ipagpatuloy ang tamang pagsunod sa minimum public health standards at lagging magsuot ng facemask, mag physical distancing, at maghugas ng kamay. Sa oras na makaramdam ng sintomas, AGAD NA MAG-ISOLATE at magpatest. Tandaan ang right test at the right time. Agad rin na magpabakuna upang makakuha ng dagdag na proteksyon laban sa COVID-19.*

Of the 1,712 reported cases today, 1,611 (94%) occurred within the recent 14 days (February 7 – February 20, 2022). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (316 or 20%), Region 4-A (221 or 14%) and Region 6 (180 or 11%).
*Of the 77 deaths, 51 occurred in February 2022 (66%), 20 in January 2022 (26%), 3 in October 2021 (4%), and 3 in September 2021 (4%) due to late encoding of death information to COVIDKaya. This issue is currently being coordinated with the Epidemiology and Surveillance Units to ensure information is up to date.*
257 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 246 are recoveries.
Moreover, 61 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
*All labs were operational on February 18, 2022. However 3 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data in the last 14 days, the 3 labs contribute, on average, 0.7% of samples tested and 0.5% of positive individuals.
