USAID and DOH Jointly Organized the Project Implementation Review of All USAID-supported Projects on Health in the Philippines

 

 

(09 December 2019) – Jointly organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Department of Health (DOH), the Project Implementation Review (PIR)of all USAID-supported projects on health in the Philippines was held on November 26, 2019 at Sheraton Manila Bay (formerly Pan Pacific Hotel). Participated by other key government agencies, civil society organizations and other partners, the activity aimed to provide key partners a full view of the USAID investment on Health for the Philippines, as it relates to the FOURmula One Plus (F1+) for Health and the USAID Country Development Cooperation Strategy.

The PIR focused on the review of the progress of the USAID Health Projects for fiscal year 2019 (October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019) to determine challenges and resolutions, including key interventions that can be pursued to further support implementation of the (1) UHC Law & its IRR, (2) National TB Program, (3) Family Planning Program, and (4) strengthening of key health systems.  

The DOH was headed by Undersecretary Mario C. Villaverde of the Health Policy Systems and Development Team (HPSDT). END
