Department of Health Receives Donation of Testing Kits and Personal Protective Equipment from Temasek Foundation

(15 July 2020) — Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Mario C. Villaverde and Undersecretary Robert Eric A. Borje, Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs, received donations of personal protective equipment and test kits from Temasek Foundation last 14 July 2020, 7:30 PM, at the Philippine Skylanders Inc. Warehouse. Temasek Foundation was duly represented by the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore through His Excellency Gerard Ho Wei Hong and First Secretary Huang Zi. The Bureau of International Health Cooperation was present to witness the short turnover.

The donation from Temasek Foundation consisted of 100 test kits (equivalent to 20,000 tests), 12 MGIEasy RNA kits (equivalent to 20,736 preps) and 90,805 PPEs comprised of goggles, gloves, facial shields, masks, surgical gowns, caps, and shoe covers. These arrived via Philippine Airlines flight PR 8508 at 6:30PM, which coincided with the date of the turnover.

Temasek Foundation have previously donated 100 oxygen concentrators, 200 units of COVID-19 diagnostic kits (equivalent to 40,000 tests) and two ventilators to the DOH prior to this batch of donation.
