The Secretary of Health chaired the International Health Partners Meeting and discussed policy directions on Universal Health Care

(18 November 2019) - The Department of Health through the Bureau of International Health Cooperation facilitated the International Health Partners Meeting held on 15 November 2019 at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila. The main objective of the meeting was to rally support for the implementation of the Universal Health Care Act. Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III as the chair of the meeting shared the priority policies and programs that the partners can assist the government with to ensure that the provision of the law will be delivered. Aside from the international health partners, representatives from the oversight agencies such as National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Department of Finance (DOF), as well as, selected civil society organizations are present at the meeting.
