DOH-ADB PROJECT PROCURES VEHICLES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES OF MARAWI CITY AND LUMBAYANAGUE, LANAO DEL SUR

(11 July 2020) - As part of the Department of Health’s (DOH) continuing efforts to rebuild the war-torn Marawi City and its surrounding areas, two (2) units of ambulance and two (2) units of patient transport vehicles were handed over to Marawi City Health Office (CHO) and Lanao del Sur Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) on April 3, 2020 and July 10, 2020 for community health service purposes, respectively. Said vehicles are components of the Emergency Assistance for Reconstruction and Recovery of Marawi (EARRM) Project funded by Asian Development Bank.

 

The DOH is set to turnover two units of mobile health clinics and construction of local health units in Marawi City and Lumbayanague Lanao del Sur, which are expected to be completed by 1st Quarter and 3rd Quarter of 2021, respectively. These local health units shall be equipped with essential medical supplies and equipment to ensure provision of quality health services for the community.
