(13 August 2020) — The Bureau of International Health Cooperation assisted Undersecretary Ma. Carolina Vidal-Taiño of the Procurement and Supply Chain Management Team as she attended the turnover of 50 ventilators from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) at the main lobby of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The donation completes the 130 ventilators pledged by the PRC for donation to the Philippines. The PRC was duly represented by His Excellency Huang Xilian, who ceremonially turned over the ventilators to Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr.
Also present were National Task Force Spokesperson Major General Restituto Padilla, Jr., DFA Executive Director for Asian and Pacific Affairs Josel F. Ignacio, and DFA Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns Atty. Brigido J. Dulay.
