(25 March 2020) – A turnover ceremony for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machine (thermal cycler) and 3,000 test kits (equivalent to 600,000 tests) from the Republic of Singapore was held last March 24, 2020 at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The donations were formally turned over by H.E. Ambassador Gerard Ho Wei Long and Deputy Chief of Mission Zhou Suli to the Philippines through Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. of the DFA. Undersecretary Mario C. Villaverde represented the Department of Health in the formal turnover.
