(16 April 2020) – The Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) donated 300,000 good quality surgical masks to the Republic of the Philippines. Undersecretary Carolina Vidal-Taiño of the Department of Health accepted the donation from Mr. Gilberto F. Lauengco, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy Resident Representative of the MECO in a turnover at the International Cargo Terminal Warehouse on April 15, 2020.
