China Donates Additional PPEs and Ventilators to the Philippines

(06 April 2020) – The turnover ceremony of donations by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was held together with a welcoming ceremony for deployed Chinese medical expert teams last April 05, 2020, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Present during the turnover were Secretary Francisco T. Duque III and Assistant Secretary Kenneth G. Ronquillo of the Department of Health (DOH), Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi of the Department of Energy (DOE), and Secretary Jose Ruperto Martín M. Andanar of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). The turnover was also attended by Undersecretary Brigido D. Dulay and Director Ira Micheline R. Valdez of the DFA. The PRC was represented by H.E. Ambassador Huang Xilian, Deputy Chief of Mission Tan Qingsheng, and Consul General Lou Gang.

The donations consisted of 5,000 protective suits, 300,000 surgical masks, 30,000 N95 masks, 5,000 medical protective face shields and 30 non-invasive ventilators.
